VOZ Workers’ Rights Education Project is a worker-led organization that empowers immigrants and day laborers to gain control over their working conditions.  VOZ operates at Martin Luther King, Jr. Worker Center, which finds hundreds of workers a month jobs for local homeowners and small businesses.  To find work through the Worker Center, please arrive by 7:30 a.m. for paperwork and raffle.  Work is assigned by raffle for general labor and requests for specializations.

Goose Hollow Family Shelter

Temporary emergency shelter for homeless families with children. Families typically stay about a month. We provide help with finding and in some situations helping pay for stable housing outside of shelter. We also provide dinner, breakfast, showers, laundry, minimal storage space. We have a day shelter where families may go during the day for similar services.  Sobriety required at time of entry.

Goose Hollow is closed for the summer of 2010 but will reopen on September 15, 2010 and will be a year-round shelter at that point.

Free and confidential pregnancy tests, clothing and supplies for pregnancy and nursing mothers.  Small classes and workshops learning from both instructors and peers.  Monthly open house.

St. Andrew's Episcopal Pantry

Self shopping nonprofit emergency food pantry. Sundays are slow for now. It is a great time to visit.  Our pantry is very busy on Fridays and Saturdays.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12:00 to 3:00 or until we serve 20 clients. We serve all, including the "working poor."

Dual Diagnosis Anonymous of Oregon

Dual Diagnosis Anonymous of Oregon is a peer support program based on a version of the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous with an additional 5 Steps that focus on Dual Diagnosis (mental illness and substance abuse). DDA's unique 12 Steps Plus 5 program offers hope for achieving the promise of recovery.
